Our Junior Tennis Program is a multilevel, recreational, instructional, and competitive program for boys and girls ages 4-18. We offer everything from "toddler tennis" to tournament training! The junior program continues to be one of the largest programs in the county. Our boys and girls have gone on to be #1 doubles and singles players at several local high schools and colleges. In addition to the competitive league matches, we offer instruction for all skill levels and also help our juniors in developing social tennis skills and sportsmanship.
Junior tennis starts Monday, June 16 and runs for six weeks. The Junior club tournament will be scheduled soon. The Junior Team Awards and tennis party will be announced shortly.
"Wimbel-Tots" Creative and exciting games that introduce the great game of tennis to boys and girls ages 4-6 years. Come watch or join the fun. Meets 4 days a week. Monday through Thursday 12:00 - 12:30pm.
Beginners Put the fun in learning the fundamentals. Creative and developmentally appropriate games teach ball contact skills along with rules and scoring. Meets 4 days a week for six weeks. Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Intermediate Develop solid footwork and stroke skills as well as strategies for match play. Meets 3 days a week for 6 weeks. Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 -11:00 am, Friday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Advanced Focus on directional hitting, power hitting, and the use of spin for control. Strategies are broken down to offensive and defensive schemes; competitive skills are integrated, and we work to develop each player's individual style. Meets 3 days a week for six weeks. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 - 11:00 am.
Tennis fee is $60 plus two cans of balls per child.
Please note: The gate lock has been changed this season. Keys (gate and light, if needed) will be available at the front gate for a fee of $50, payable by check only (made to PRSR.)
